Re: Low end power loss with OE CSL Engine Management

With the stock CSL tune and stock cams, it will be flat in that range. Either need a remap for stock or aftermarket cams, or need CSL cams. There is a UK forum member who does modified CSL tunes....

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

With a CSL airbox, it's more midrange and top end. Both S65 and S54 are very linear, so power delivery feels similar to me. That's one reason why I don't desire owning an E9X with an S65.

Re: OEM CSL (not ZCP) wheels and 6-Piston Brembo GT BBK

From what I remember reading in m3dragon's CSL build journal, he runs a 10mm spacer to clear his ST40s, so one might need at least 10mm to clear a BBK with the front CSL wheels.

Re: BBS LM / LM-R Thread ... post up your pics

If one is running stock power, the 235/265 gives plenty of grip while still being fun and making the handling playful. 275 or 285 rears is unnecessary unless higher power or experienced driver.

Terrible idea.

If you can't afford getting OE quality cats in section 1, keep your stock headers.

Yup, that one caused the same issue on an aftermarket CSL airbox where the ICV port under the box was a tad too far for the connector to fully click into place. On startup, it would idle very poorly...

Do you have a link to the dyno graph showing the delta between the OE section 2 and SS Section 2?

Re: 50% off Supersprint Exhaust Cyber Monday Only!

^ With the quiet stock exhaust, you hear intake noise from the motor, not exhaust. At 8000 rpm, that great induction noise is coming from the other side of the firewall.

Re: 50% off Supersprint Exhaust Cyber Monday Only!

No one is going to buy you cats and make the smart decision for you. If you can't afford to modify the car properly, then just keep it stock. Saves you a lot of money.

Re: 50% off Supersprint Exhaust Cyber Monday Only!

IMO, you should have gotten the catted section 1 and the resonated section 2 if you were planning to get the best sound and performance possible. There is just no good reason to not run cats.

Re: 50% off Supersprint Exhaust Cyber Monday Only!

Don't you mean section 1? That dual resonated setup is the cleanest way to reduce the stock rasp with the factory headers.

With a catted section 1 and the resonated X pipe, any of the SS mufflers...

This car would look way better with a proper wheel and tire setup. It looks broken in its current state with the - 4 degrees of camber in the rear to fit those 10" wheels. Everything else looks good.
