Iím pretty sure itís a bad brake booster. I drove, brakes locked up and then I disconnected the vacuum line and the brakes released.

Itís likely the valve cover but there are also some crush washers and freeze plugs back there that can leak.

But 99% probably itís the valve cover gasket.

Oil analysis is helpful if you have a history. Otherwise itís safer to assume death is near if you see copper. Thereís nothing else copper in the motor that I can think of other than rod bearings.

I drilled out the bolt holes and then ran a grade 8 bolt through the topside structure. Torqued to 130 ft/lbs with grade 8 washers and grade 8 lock nuts.

Thereís no play and itís solidly mounted....

E36/E46 run with a rake higher in the front to offset the dynamic camber change on the front when going through a corner. Rewards more throttle steering.

I'd be concerned about the rear subframe and the spot welds in that area. I wouldn't think it would be a major concern unless you bottom out the suspension which would destroy the upper mounting...

All the engine flush does is thin out the oil with some sort of solvent. Waste of time and $$$.

Just change the oil often. I recommend every 3 months if you want to start getting the engine...

When you buy bearings...always need to inspect them.

A lower ramp angle means the diff will lock up quicker once a wheel slips. Stock is 45/45 meaning it locks up just as fast on accel/decel. A 30/90 is (I think) a 1.5 way diff. It wonít lock on decel....
