Zero oil consumption.

Then we should add to the value calculus all of your other weight loss expenses. :)
This is an exercise in power, not power to weight, even if power to weight is more meaningful for a car. Weight...

Sorry to hear and see that.
The roads around Whistler are fantastic. The Sea to Sky Highway is one of my favorite stretches of asphalt when there isn’t wildlife ruining the party.

Re: What's your view on superchargers?

^ Neither [accurately] is my guess. 315 baseline for stock Euro is an odd starting point and 350whp with just an airbox is ridiculous. I don’t understand European dynos. But that’s why we said dynos...

Re: What's your view on superchargers?

I’m still curious what a CSL would get to with a proper tune. They have the hardware already - airbox, cams, headers - that are supposedly all that’s required for 350+ whp. At 362bhp, it sounds like...

Replace BC coils with something better.
Replace Supersprint race exhaust with something quieter.
Replace the 1 series M Performance brakes with a real BBK.

Engine seems otherwise untouched...

Re: What's your view on superchargers?

Agreed. Yes the delta matters and is most of what you can take away from a dyno, but surely we have dynos in the US of cars with Euro hardware and software? I'd bet they turn around 290whp here. So...

Re: What's your view on superchargers?

Okay, fair enough. Seems like tuning for cams is the recent game changer, because for a long time headers/airbox/tune would get someone to the low 300s.

Bottom line, I think we can all agree: (1)...

Re: What's your view on superchargers?

You also have an intake, electric fan, pulleys, and muffer, and you're still under 350. So to get to the 360+ range we're talking about, you'd need an airbox or bigger headers.
Conversely, if you...

Dinan plates use the OE hats I believe and are not adjustable.
Vorschlag plates are good, I would keep them if you already have them. Otherwise GC street plates.

However, most SC’d cars are street cars, and stock brakes with good pads/fluid are pretty good on the street. A primary benefit of a BBK is heat...

Re: What's your view on superchargers?
