Re: 2005 M3 E46 Manual 6 speed 36000 miles

He's right. That's a very clean low mile car at a fantastic price, perfect for someone looking for a clean stock M, but that spoiler kills it. I would expect it to sell in a few days in original form.

Re: Looking for wheel refinishing in Monmouth county

They look great but at $200 a wheel I would expect a better masking job, those edges looks pretty jagged at the polish to powdercoat transition.

Re: Does the diff fluid have to be drained to do diff bushings?

You can replace the bushings in the cover if you go with poly or you can use one of those C-Clamp style ball joint presses (I would only use this to press them in, to take them out drilling the...

Re: SMG Long Gear Shifts

If it's not the pump the GPS was also going to be my next suggestion. OP if you need one I have a 50k mile one off an SMG to 6MT conversion I did.

Re: Does the diff fluid have to be drained to do diff bushings?

Are you replacing the whole cover or just the bushings? You can replace just the bushing and then you dont even have to open the diff up. You can replace the cover without draining it but you would...

Title explains it all. Willing to pay what they're worth based on tire type and tread. Found a set locally but haven't heard back from the seller so I figured I'll throw this up incase. Close to NJ...

Re: Oil change: before or after winter storage?

While that is true, you are accelerating the process by leaving it empty is my point. You do an oil change with a warm engine so the oil drains freelty and quickly, by simply pulling the car in on a...

Re: SMG Long Gear Shifts

You put a brand new/rebuilt pump in it? If so that is unlikely to be the issue. What was the pressure value? And did it hold?

Are you getting any codes? The fact the adaptations aren't working...

Re: Oil change: before or after winter storage?

The only downside to changing it before is slight moisture build up that will go into the oil, however the first extended drive you take will evaporate all that out. Also as others have said, once...

Re: SMG Long Gear Shifts

Have you checked the pressure the pump is producing? Check it with INPA it should be around 85 bar.

Re: Oil change: before or after winter storage?

Change the oil before. Used oil has contaminants and can turn acidic. Leaving the car without any oil is even worse as the little oil that's left will drain down and then internals are exposed. As...

Re: Urgent- Do I tow or do I drive on different tire?

This. Either move one or two of your fronts to the rear and then have the mismatched ones on the front. The key is the same rolling diameter.

Keep in mind non-M coupe panels are the same so you can use one off a regular E46 which should increase your chances of finding one locally.

Re: BBS CH 19" Silver - 19x8.5 et35 & 19x10 et20

Yes, the inner barrel is much weaker than the face so if they're bent that's where they would typically bend.

Re: BBS CH 19" Silver - 19x8.5 et35 & 19x10 et20

It's hard to tell if a wheel has a very minor bend, but he could post up pics of the barrel side to give people a better view so they can judge the wheels themselves.

Looks like Line-x like what they use on pick up truck beds which is very durable. Cool unique pieces, glws.
