Re: Thoughts on Zionsville radiator to control heat

Re: Thoughts on Zionsville radiator to control heat

Upgrade the oil cooler if you're still running OE. It helps take some heat load off the radiator.

Re: Streamline bumper thrown in the trash , OE one now fitted.

You're giving BMW way too much credit. The CSL box was designed back in like 2001. Take it from a hydraulics engineer, CFD simulation wasn't very good, user friendly or wide spread back then. It's...

Re: Running Upgraded Pads on Front Only?

Just do the PFC08 front and rear for now. Your front pads will wear out first, and you can install a front BBK then and keep the PFC08 on the rear.

Front PFC08 and stock rear will shift your brake...

Ok. Can you take some measurements on the Z4 rack for me when you get it? Trying to make a little database.

Pretty sure a faster rack will be even heavier feel, so not sure it will really help your problem.

Less caster should reduce the effort and maybe the feel a bit. You'll also gain more positive...

Re: Power Steering Delete!

Hydraulic power steering works by applying a pressure on one side of the steering rack while venting the other side back to tank. The pressure difference generates a force that assists you in...

Re: Power Steering Delete!

Changing the rack without a PS pump will not change the effort required, so don't waste your money on the Z4 rack.

What you need is to lower the pressure of the power steering system. Note that...

Re: American Racing Headers for the E46 M3

Re: American Racing Headers for the E46 M3

Couple weeks with some dryer sheets hidden around the car will get rid of the smoker smell. Had to do that on my BRZ when I bought it. Put some dryer sheets under the driver and passenger seats.

Re: Brake Bias on 996 Zcp front and stock non ZCP rear

It sounds like you're describing the StopTech sport pads. Even so, I doubt their friction coefficient is as high as a medium bite track pad. Somewhere between 0.35 and 0.4 sounds about right for it....

DS2500 have a 0.42 average friction coefficient according to the the Ferodo site. I didn't find anything on the StopTech Street pads, but it's pretty safe to assume they are 0.35 or less.

Assuming...
