Yeah... unfortunately the rebuild interval is like that for all the high end shocks. Pretty well invalidates then for DD use for me.

Also annoying because it makes me not want to take the M3 on...

Re: Parts to correct the loss of droop travel when using Ohlins R&Ts with camber plat

Yep, short , expensive rebuild intervals would be the reason why. Though, that's also true of all high end shocks (e.g. JRZs)

If ride quality is the primary concern, while still being able to...

Re: Breakthrough discovery about the Spal 30102082 Fan! The Most powerful sealed fan

The spal replaces the aux and clutched fan.
(and the 2049 is apparently lighter than the 2082 at 2.57 kg)

And, again, should improve radiator airflow (when in motion-- e.g. on track)

That, and weight, are why I use the spal fan instead of the stock aux fan. Less obstruction should mean more airflow through the rad at speed.

My GU1R mounting location. I put it under the hood because it's not doing anything meaningful for weight distro at 5.7 lbs, and the battery cable to the trunk is 8 lbs-- heavier than my battery!

70k is an s65 interval— too soon for non race s54s.

Every single objective source/review/test says the PSS is sticker than the PS2– including Michelin, despite them selling the PS2 for a higher price than the PSS.

Re: Anyone on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires yet?

No.

Thread wear is an indication of how long it takes for the tread to wear. It’s often correlated inversely with grip, as softer rubber wears faster and is gripper, but it’s not a measure of it....

PS2s rode a little better...

Cleaned house a bit, as half this thread had gone off topic and this is a good video to refer back to in the future.

Future deviations that way will be deleted/infracted.

Iím pretty confident they just wear big time spent above 7500rpm.

Replacement is easy, so WGAF.

Re: Blackstone results not good

S54 has always had bearing wear if all 8000rpm are regularly used. It just doesnít have spontaneous bearing failure lottery (in addition to wear) like the s65.

Video is about the GT3.

I don’t really care if the current M3 is auto only as, indeed, I’d never buy one.

Brief strawman was brief.

He's talking about S65 bearings.

AFAIK, all OE S54 bearings are still lead/copper.
