He's thinking of the wrong car. A properly maintained E36 M3 does not have the E46 M3 passenger side stubby differential output shaft clunk.

Did you make any other changes while doing that work?...

You need to join the rare E36 parts groups on Facebook. This content comes up often and these guys can better address the part. I believe it is a period correct addon, but not made by BMW.

The B30T0 wasn't exactly a run of the mill motor though. It was a closed deck design and had parts from the S55 in it. This was unique to the M2 (possibly used in other cars after, I don't know).

With a good fuel system (fpr, pump, filter) you will get 3.5bar vacuum unplugged.

I suspect your tester is not accurate.

Understand that idle pressure is not 51psi. With vacuum (referred to as “reference”) on the FPR, idle fuel pressure should be 43-45psi. With reference removed, you should see the full 3.5bar... or if...

There are people doing it in California and they make it sound easier than the BAR process. TJ Hunt just bought a Japanese Supra and described the process as just needing a CA rep to come visually...

Once it is after 25 years I believe you just SMOG based on whatever tech the car is equipped with. Since Euro E36 never got OBD2, you just SMOG on OBD1 tests. There is no BAR process for 25+ yr old...

What fuel pump did you install? If you used an aftermarket pump, they tend to overpower the 3/2 valve on OBD2 cars which leads to increased fuel pressure.

Yes on the fuel check. Make sure the test kit you buy has the "bicycle" size schrader valve size and it isn't too deep. It has to be a shallow fitting or it will bottom out on the rail and never push...

Yes your intake will be a problem, especially with the electric vertical adjustment motors installed. The Dinan intake isn't friendly with Euro lights.

Check the tension on the ASC actuator cable. The cam should be fully seated against the stop and the cable should to taut without pulling the cam off the stop. It is very common to see this cable...

I wouldn’t use any of that. Get proper paint and metal prep at an auto body shop. Home Depot repairs are tacky. SEM EZ-coat has a variety of colors that match the OEM underbody colors.

That is DIRT. Simple Green clean the towers with a tooth brush. There's absolutely no way rust is coming through the seam sealer there... it's just dirt. Obviously under that tray is a rust spot, but...

Dwight's designs vary. Some have high speed flappers while others do not. He will make the shroud however you want... he'll make anything however you want.
