Re: Curious as to people's thoughts: thinking about merging the Journals section with

Not a bad idea at first glance. However I think it would clutter this section. Would make it like instagram where you can never see everything.

Nice! Car looks and sounds amazing! I’m anxiously waiting for results.

Edit: Just saw your post in the dyno thread. Get ready for the midrange power boost with the bimmerworld exhaust.

Re: Fuel expansion tank removal

I did it on mine and I had an issue aswell. You gotta be cafeful how you do it or it’ll spill when you fill the tank because it cant vent the air. If you block off the right hoses it wont spill

Re: Help me get into the 3000 lbs club!

+1. You can get the stock dash down to ~10lbs if you cut off the bottom and remove the hvac stuff

Re: My custom exhaust journy begins

Great results man! That's the best m3 powerband I've seen. You're over 300whp at 6k! Any changes to your valvetrain to rev that high?

Nothing 95% of the time. A small ctek charger for long stuff (>30 mins without starting the car).

Re: Help me get into the 3000 lbs club!

I was at ~2450 on my last track car too(e46 m3) with nothing special. Going to try to get to 2800-2900 on this m3 which shouldn’t be too hard. Will detail it in my journal when I make one.

Personally I like launching the car using skill. For those looking this guy figured out a way to improve traction/launch control. http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=531212

Re: headlight compatibility for 2001 e46 m3?

They bi-xenons will bolt up and you can use them as normal without any coding or wiring. The xenon high beams wont work, but you'll still have the regular high beams.

Re: Share your Bins/Calibrations here

I think the issue is liability. If someone makes really aggressive changes because they've never tuned before and blows up their motor who becomes liable? Sucks that tap is MIA but if you really need...

Re: Offset and camber on your 10 rear wheels

Im running a 19x10.5 et 22 with a 275/30/19. That’s about as far as you wanna go if you have shaved fenders. Im running 1.5-2 degrees of negative camber in the back which is just about optimal. Car...

Id heat those up with a blowtorch and bend them into shape before putting them on. Had to do it with the ebay headers on my old m3. Besides that they look good:thumbsup2:

I'll keep this short since a forum is not a place to talk about such activities.

Re: Misfires on 4-6 after header install

The pre cat bank 1 and bank 2 sensors are excatly the same length. You likely have them switched.

The pre cats adjust mixture post cats and egt verify the cat functionality

Re: DTC (OBD Error Code) Deletion/Removal Strategy

I posted a link but realized it didn't contain that code conversion. Just use bmw logger to find the dtc number that way you know you are deleting the right code.

Re: DTC (OBD Error Code) Deletion/Removal Strategy

Why did you get a mss54hp just for shift lights? The mss54 can do shift lights aswell.

For dtc removal you first need to find the dtc number for the code you are getting. If you use bmw logger...
