He said he replaced the steering guibo with a poly unit.

Given nothing is loose, and with everything you replaced, my next guess would be the rack itself.

Not properly pre loaded end links wil cause creaking or popping at low speed turns. But cant imagine it causing loose steering feel/play in steering.

ahhh ok I see. I was confused as what was the cause of the valves getting out of spec. I thought the shims wear down over time from contact rather than the valve seat wearing down. :hattip:

Would it not be a longer interval as it would take longer for the shim to wear down to having a .013 of an inch gap? Or you mean to constantly retain such a tight tolerance?

It is not electrically height adjustable. Only way is by taking out the mounting bolts and using lower/higher holes. So not really doable for swapping drivers.

It was a long time ago I did this install. But IIRC I cut down/angled the top end of the bushing so the flat edge doesnt get caught, and then put something in between the carrier and the trans tunnel...

Funny enough....a couple days ago on Tuner the ss race was $2269 and on ecs it was $19xx. Now both show 2269 with 30% off. Smh.

The new cars are getting real heavy. My mechanic races a M235iR, and he said the thing weighs 3400lbs. And thats already in full race trim.

My assumption for the track use is that it's just for the headers. Since it doesn't have cats and have the option of running them with a non catted section 1.

Turner motorsport has the best ones I have used. Fairly light with a lot of the inner metal taken out. Place to slip your screwdriver in to be able to easily take them off. And High quality.

I go no spacers in the rear. It did used to have a slight rub in the inside fender on full compression. With a 12mm I rubbed the outside fender. So I would image et22 would be worse. Front...

My car starts in 'A' But is not in auto mode. Its in sequential mode. Switching to 'S' moves it into auto mode.
