Re: BMW E46 Airbag Recall 2002-03 + M3

Do check your front interior trim after the installation - on my wife's ZHP, the dealer tech damaged the trim and it would no longer seat correctly.

Re: Anyone Know how to use INPA?

Can't speak about TTFS cables, but as a related data point, the Evolve cable for its flash program cannot be used for general OBD2 interfacing - INPA, DIS, etc. I had to buy another custom BMW OBD2...

Re: VANOS Rebuild Question (yay, another one)

So, you posted Dr. Vanos cryo hub, which does in fact use a brand new OEM hub as a basis for the product. Best price I can find online is $795 from Morristown. So they are charging $105 for a cryo...

Re: VANOS Rebuild Question (yay, another one)

So you are upset at BMW? Fact is, even they can't stamp out a part like that. The machine work for those internal helical splines is very expensive. If you had the part duplicated, I bet it would...

Re: Who insures your M3?

There are collector insurance programs with less stringent guidelines. Mine - Leland West $580/yr, no tickets, can drive to work, 3K miles per year, $25K loss.

Re: SSK/CSB/giubo install - mid-project questions

I think it's less but I may just be getting used to it. Truthfully I don't think I have more than 400 miles on it since installing the SSK.

There is definitely more vibration which is the...

Re: Things you didn't know about your M3

I know this is old but nobody ever answered it.

You can set a 75mph chime without NAV by activating AKMB/WARNUNG_GESCHW_LIMIT (need a coding tool).

OP, sorry you had to endure several more...

Re: Eye bolt protruding into driveshaft tunnel - problem?

Just cut off the excess? Obviously you don't want any bolt/driveshaft contact. The trans does move around some but not much.

Usual leak is from the other side of the hose...

109K miles but not posted on CL. M-Texture Alcantara, hard to find - although I might be biased. Worth a look just for that, although the driver's bolsters look beat up.
