If you look on McMaster for metric it is not “grade 8”, but class 8 and class 05 is also a thing.

This. Do not listen to their sales pitch stating otherwise. Theyíll start grinding almost immediately and when you complain theyíll tell you that they said they would. Vorshlag plates get my vote.

Re: 1999 Dakar M3 Coupe Build/Restoration Journal (Long and Picture Heavy)

Magic erasers can be abbrassive when used aggressively. When you use them softly they do more dirt extraction than cutting. They are a once in a few years thing that shouldn’t lead to any top coat...

Try just the all purpose cleaner first with a soft face/nail brush (your wife probably has one). Remove with a damp microfiber (several times). Gentle use with a wet magic eraser is a final touch to...

For the record, I did say more original matte, not like new.

Given that you are a leather conditioner type, you may not agree with cleaning/degreasing the leather and just leaving it be. Some of...

It does. If you want a better bar set buy the 30mm/24mm ST setup. It is IDENTICAL to the turner bars at a much cheaper price.

Yes, they sold them for 3-series non-M. I have had two (currently have one still). You can get a new set of bushings from BMW. They are off an E31 (I’ll post PN later).

Re: 1999 Dakar M3 Coupe Build/Restoration Journal (Long and Picture Heavy)

Very nice progress there. Only thing I don't like is the Leatherique which leaves behind grease and darkens leather (and the smell is not pleasant). Original new leather is super matte, almost chalk...

Youíre exaggerating magic erasers harshness a lot and you can control it. With items like the airbag and the interior vinyl that can start to decay white you want to be aggressive with it.

Reshape them to be smaller and I will buy one. 365mm with extra thick padding and thumbrests. It would be the perfect E36 wheel.

That buyer is annoying in his presentation (repeatedly) although the review of condition is definitely great.

For anyone reading that, there is no such thing as a leather upper dash for the E36.

ECU is connected properly and both sides of the connection are free of any corrosion? The connector on the E36 needs to be forcefully compressed down after the latch is seated.

Re: Original 1995 AC Schnitzer CSL for sale.

How was fuel and spark checked?

Since the motor was rebuilt, can you check the fuel injector electrical rail to make sure it is securely clipped into place (each injector)?
