Can't be sure, but I suspect it's the same as the M5 part:

This is what the 103 hose actually looks like:

Re: Share your Bins/Calibrations here

I agree. We just need to track down (or make) the 2001/2101 equivalents of the US tunes to get everyone on this side of the pond on the same program. Most US cars are on 2701/2801

Edit: I'm pretty...

Re: Share your Bins/Calibrations here

Have you tried any US files? 2701 (HP) and 2801 (non-HP) are slightly different from 2001 (latest euro HP) and 2101 (latest euro non-HP). 2001 and 1801 seem to be equivalent. And I assume 2101 and...

Re: LSZ Software Update

For this task specifically? No. For other tasks like m35080 chips, the R270 is capable of erasing the newer ones that Xprog can't.

For the LSZs Xprog is actually a little easier, since R270 wants...

So big update:

I found some much more convenient solder points. They're pretty large - very easy to solder to even if you don't have a very steady hand.

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

DCT tends to work better for turbo cars because they can hold boost between shifts. I'd buy the manual anyway personally

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

Looks like the E9x M3 handles the steering boost through the DME rather than one of the body modules like the non-Ms. Which means it's still adjustable, but not as simple as using NCS. You'd probably...

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

I think E9x M3s have servotronic. You could probably mess with that in NCS Expert.

Pretty much all BMWs since 2006 have hill assist, I don't think that can be turned off (unless it's a setting...

Re: Trying to figure out why my 6 MT shift lights don't work

Re: Trying to figure out why my 6 MT shift lights don't work

You can wire the clutch switch directly to the DME (replicating S54 Z3M setup). It's easier for retrofits, SMG swaps. Also if the gear switch fails, one could just wire the clutch switch directly and...

Re: Trying to figure out why my 6 MT shift lights don't work

Yeah you have a clutch switch installed, but where is that pin going? Non-Ms and M3s aren't wired the same. Non-Ms have it wired up to X60004 Pin 23. M3s need the signal at X60002 Pin 20.

M3...

Re: Trying to figure out why my 6 MT shift lights don't work

00 means it's not using the clutch / gear sensor at all. It just assumes you're in neutral if the car is stopped and you're in gear if you're moving.

Have to check how things are wired if you...

Do you have the gear recognition sensor wired up or are you bypassing it in the tune?

If the latter, possible you didn't bypass it properly with the CSL tune?

Re: Any precautions with running an HP DME on a 2003?

No precautions. BMW doesn't even sell non-HP DMEs anymore for M3s. 2004.5+ cars do send the alternator light signal over CAN instead of a wire, but the DME can still send the signal over the direct...
