They are $950 plus shipping. I apologize for the confusion. Despite changing the price in the title the thread is showing old prices in some titles.

I had thought of that...but I suspect Calvin would probably not want to spend the time ferreting out electrical issues with aftermarket headlights. Might run it by him though.

Re: Poor Gas Mileage + Hard Start...Connected?

Re: Poor Gas Mileage + Hard Start...Connected?

I don't know what the CEL was for exactly. The car ran like shit. The mechanic said that he had crossed some wires or something.

The CEL was gone after they redid it.

What's an HFM?

Because this is the E36 section. 95s had one color red (not Imola, but I'm forgetting what it was called) and 96s-99s had Hellrot. There may be some Individual cars in Imola though.

Re: New to the Forum and M3's

Yup, it's true. It looks less weird on dark colors, but it's very noticeable on Alpine. I agree it looks better in black, but that's how BMW made it.

Nice car. Don't let the '95 naysayers get to...

Re: Would driving 3000 miles across the country overwork an E36 M3?

Um...that's not good. Might want to check on that.

I've done three 3000+ mile road trips in various E36s. Great time. Buy a V1, cruise at 90 through most parts of the country, and it just eats up...

Re: My new car

I'm local. I was going to use my jeep to yank off that spoiler but I see you've taken care of that. I have a pretty decent M3 if you'd like to see what an OEM+ one looks like.

Re: Thinking about moving from e46M to e36 - Questions

+1. the E36 smells far better. Seriously.

I had both, and drove them back to back. The 46 is better, stock, on the track. 36 is more fun around town. 46 has much better steering, 36 is more...

Hey Alex, is your kit ready yet? If it comes with a warranty like dinan I'll send my car in tomorrow.

Re: UUC System U or a Rogue Engineering DMS?

I'm with Bobby. I wouldn't want anything louder than my AA Gen III for everyday use.

Curious to hear the Rogue sometime though.

Speaking of loud cars...I was at Laguna Seca today, saw a...

Re: Engine Rattle

Are you asking what exactly the vanos is?

Your (euro) engine uses a different and more complicated vanos than ours, iirc. So bear that in mind if you try to order a Dr Vanos or Beisan kit.

Nick, as always, good and salient info. What you're saying sounds more plausible than a bad shock. It definitely sounds like a bearing.

Is this something I can just repack with grease, or does...

Re: Engine Rattle

I guess I can bump my old thread too. It was the VANOS back then, and it was the VANOS again on my current car. So it can go bad at 190k miles or at 65k miles. My conclusion, which is up for debate,...

Andrew, I forgot just how much I like your car. That's a low-arch spoiler, right?

Favorite color, great mods, great wheels. Call me crazy but I'd take it over the E46.

Damn, I love E39 M5s. OP I love your car. If I could afford to have my Jeep, a fun car (M3), and a road trip car, I'd buy an M5 in a heartbeat.

Re: What SHOULDN'T be in the trunk

It was about 700 when mine failed...that was to do both sides.

This is not the kind of failure you buy spare parts for. Install reinforcement plates and you're good to go.

Re: CSL Wheels questions

How about a S54/S65/S85 swap in lieu of rebuilding your turbo motor?

E46 has phenomenal seats. They look blah though. Why would thigh supports help? I fin they make clutchin' a little more awkward.

Re: If you could get yourself another E36 M3, what would it be?

That's a nice car. Like others have said, it's worth about 13k, maybe more. It needs at least a couple grand in new parts.

I have basically the same car with all those replacement parts installed...

Exactly what I have...in Avus.

I had an E46. There is literally no car costing less than $45k that I'd even consider swapping my E36 for.

I paid a lot for my car, have put a lot more into it,...

It's not worth going to 16s. I'm not sure they'll clear the brakes anyway.
