That's a bit of a bummer... The Beep from holding the voice recognition button is far too loud, the setup to get the phonebook to work with my ipod was manual, and when I did - it lost the caller id...

Interesting question... I have the voice button on my MFL, but haven't ever tried to use it. Before I start to wire in the M// I'll read the manual and see about getting the voice recognition...

Yeah I found it... the white one, that looks like an upside down water fountain, literally feeds right into the DDE box. Reassembled everything and now I got Cruise, voice, and BT!

My first attempt at this DIY ended in a bit of a failure... I'm always been a pretty good DIY'er - even did the hardwire V1 install in 5 minutes! But I guess this DIY got the better of me.

Not for my money... I will only utilize my V1. Once you get used to having the directional arrows - you won't go back. The V1 has paid for itself over 50 times.

sounds like a strut bushing

my car's got 45k, and a large speed bump, or tough suspension hit makes a bit of a metal on metal clanking sound. the right strut bushing is cracked and worn and in need of being replaced.
