On my first 99 M3, the stitching was so dirty, the strings looked black. A wash revealed the colors but the leather was so bad I just got a new wheel.

Start there. Do your oil & filter. Crawl under it and look around it. Examine the exhaust setup, look at the front axles, do the air filter....

The (hardtop coupe) door swings open fine but it must be shut a lot harder for it to completely catch closed. It partially catches closed if I do not shut it...
