95 M3, swapped 96-99 hats for camber, steering super tight and pulls?

Check the fronts to insure the end windings are indexed into the steps in the casing and the “hat”.

Swap the rears side to side to see if it settles.

Were these new springs or second hand?

E36 M3 coil overs

Using a drill motor and a Lisle Cut-Off Tool #31500, the whole process is under four hours.

Rear shocks are ~ 2 hours, less if you build up the assembly before hand.

Re: recommended jack stands

I have seen a failure of the factory trunk jack jack point when jacking above the height of changing a tire. I don’t recommend this.

I think Z3 3-spoke wheel will fit also, you will need a different switch bracket

Re: PS Pulley looks a wee tight to you?

The Stewart literature recommends not under driving their pumps, in general. Not sure if that applies to the BMW specific pump.

Re: E36 M3 coil overs

TCKline DA Koni based CO might be worth looking at. Ground Control offers a Koni based DA CO kit as well. Next real step up is Ohlins.

Re: Bilstein PSS9 coilover tire clearance issues?

So I’m seeing Bilstein p/n 48-115766 PSS9 for 1995M3; 48-115674 PSS9 for 1996+M3; 48-080347 PSS9 for non-M (kit used for Ms before H1/H2) and 47-124813 for non-M that look similar to H1/H2.

Bilstein PSS9 coilover tire clearance issues?

Depends on MY and wheel width/offset/tire width - 1995M3 vs 1996+M3.
Because of geometry changes to the 1996+M3 spindle you will need at least 5mm spacer, most likely 10mm.
245/40-17 on factory 8...
