It looks like the stud that goes into the unibody is loose..i.e....backing out....and....

Typically the bushings don't slide in/out so easily...in that sense maybe the bushings are not correct...

Bumping an old thread to clarify an issue on my 97 M3.

The Steering Column seem solid.

The Steering Wheel however has an amount of play as in...the wheel will has "slop".

How old is your clutch? Does it slip any?

Possibly you have worn thru the material on the disc and when the clutch is engaged....the rivets are making noise as they rub against the PP & Flywheel....

Yeah...the car stuff is a sickness eh?....the "type" of car in terms of salvage is definitely a consideration - i'd rather have one that has been fixed from body damage (within reason) than a flood...

Make sure you are getting what you want...that is an "impact driver"...it does not have the 1/2" socket drive that you probably want. It's made for other attachments..
