Sure you can. It's not going to hurt it.... Other than possibly leaking out of gaskets sooner/faster due to synthetic's properties- or it consuming a little oil.

If the crank comes out (meaning the engine comes out) send to me. We have some awesome connecting rods that kills that BMW bearing issue. We grind the crank and put in polydyne aftermarket NASCAR...

I have no idea how a dead battery could cause this, other than resetting readiness codes for OBD.

Probably either a LIN bus issue, bad mirror, or FGS on the connector of the mirror motor. Needs some dielectric grease in the connector.

Normally nox is attributed to hot conditions, thusly I think getting it hot may NOT help, in fact it may make it worse.

Sounds like carbon deposits. Go get the engine decarboned. I like using GM top engine cleaner.

if the thermostat is sticking (very common on S54) then you will eventually get a check engine light on for a plausibility issue.

replace the thermostat.

Unfortunately, the engine lived in a race car. This was a budget rebuild to get the car back on the track, due to the fact that the engine (previously) was put together in what looked like a sand...

This happens when you have changed caster angles from lifting it, oversized wheels/offset of rims, and worn steering/axle components.


Anything with a straight axle and/or kingpin style front...

I install schumacher automatic 1.5 amp on board chargers. Just plug it in and forget about it.


By the way, replace that battery. 6 years is way past it's use.
