When the hood raises/lowers, the hinged part of the drivers side wiper hits the edge of the hood. If you look closely, you can see the paint worn away on both the wiper and hood.

Re: Airride Bagged Suspension on e36

Ugly car is ugly.

OP should have stuck with VW's - that community openly embraces everything tasteless....

Re: Any Mortgage People?

That sounds like a high risk loan, so of course it will be expensive. OP, are you ok with being potentially underwater at some point in the future? Are you in a position to wait awhile as prices...

Re: You guys know how to get a $10k loan for an e36 m3?

In my opinion, regardless of the circumstances... It is pretty wreckless trying to finance one of these nowadays when they are worth practically nothing to the bank or an insurance company.

Re: Intro thread

This car is pretty nice compared to the heaps featured in other recent "intro" threads. I would not have bought a lux car, but to stay within a limited budget without buying garbage I bet some...

Re: Going to look at a 1997 M3 Auto for purchase tomorrow

The market as come back somewhat from the disaster it was when you originally purchased yours. $5k probably made sense for your car at the time.

Re: Going to look at a 1997 M3 Auto for purchase tomorrow

High mileage (yes, that does matter at some point), undesireable color without clearcoat, undesirable year with notable shortcomings..etc

Even then yours should have been at least a $6.5k car.
