There was a thought going around with the M5 guys that the K&N pre-oiled filter was fouling up their MAFs. As a matter of fact, this happened to a good friend of mine.

I'd say, just clean the MAF...

Also, I'm not a big "how will it look if" guy but, stretched 255 sidewall on the rear and a pretty square sidewall on the front looks silly.

IIRC, the line is secured to the arm by a series of clips. You can just pop off the clips and reroute the line to get some extra room.

You'll also need to remove the lower shock bolt.
