Re: Interior restoration: What color change would you do?

I'm surprised at the results so far and also at the popularity of.....brown? I was leaning towards a red or mulberry interior initially, but this has me rethinking that direction. I also think the...

Re: Stumped on Rough Idle

Then it's most likely the tune IMO. The fuel enrichment decay is shorter as the coolant temp rises. The only other thing to check would be the lambda/O2 sensor. Something is causing the A/F to be...

Re: Power steering pump moan only after vigorous braking

Stop worrying about this, doesn't matter. Whatever you have will be fine. There are a 1000 other things to worry about with our cars before you get to PS fluid brand.

Re: Stumped on Rough Idle

I would question the tune or IAC valve assuming you are 100% positive of no vacuum leaks. ECU/engine seems to be fine during startup enrichment period (all engines like richer AF to start and then...

Re: Power steering pump moan only after vigorous braking

I just did my entire system (minus pump) with a Z3 rack. It does take about 10-20x back and forth to get a new rack bled. Be patient. I'm pretty sure mine is still on it's original PS pump (61K...

Re: Power steering pump moan only after vigorous braking

My experience with PS systems has always been pump noise = air in system. I'd tighten all suction lines and see if you can replicate it afterwards. There is nothing connecting the 2 systems that...

Re: Title: Salvage or Clean?

Condition dictates value not a toggle flag on a title database.

"clean" title cars in bad condition = little value
"salvage" title cars in bad condition = little value

Great condition cars =...

Re: Headliner materials?

Also note that their input on the suede stuff was that it doesn't stretch near enough and tends to separate from the surface over time as that surface tension eventually wins over the glue's hold. ...

Re: Headliner materials?

Cheapo black suede turns purple after some UV exposure. I just put a black "Honda" headliner in because it was thin and matched BMW's odd thickness of foam. Turned out great.

Also make sure you...

Re: Center console options

Let me put a design together for people who want to print these on their own. I'm probably going to have it replace the ashtray AND coin holder in 1 piece. Who needs coins anymore?

Re: Hagerty Valuation tool - e36 m3 is on the list

While that car is basically untouched, the price is an order of magnitude outside of real value. US spec, stock, E36 M3 is just trash for a performance car. That's my opinion, but it has some...

Re: Hagerty Valuation tool - e36 m3 is on the list

E36 M3s will never be near E30 M3 values due to volume alone. The best we can hope for is for them to be our rising "tide" and lift all the M3 boat values. It is tough to find good-great condition...
