Re: Interior Door Cards and Rear Seat differences

The rear door panel material change follows the front. BMW isn't going to give you front leather inserts and vinyl inserts in the rear. Again, we're talking the center removable section. All years...

Re: Interior Door Cards and Rear Seat differences

Your information is wrong. 1996 is not some magical cutoff date... if anything, more changes occurred early 1997. (sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine. Too many people group the 96 incorrectly).

95...

Re: Stamped LTW's Polished & Refinished

"chrome" polish get's washed out way more than silver. The tires no longer contrast the wheels, so it just blends in.

M3 GT is the best Style 24 variant made. Stamped and diamond cut polished,...

Too much polished, doesnít suit the wheel or the car in my opinion... but if you like it, :thumbsup2:

Re: Single stripped vanos solenoid pack bolt

The only thing being sealed out is dirt. If you have oil coming out, your valve body is bad. Don't worry about it, and no, there are no performance issues provided it is mounted flat.

Re: *Potential odometer roll back* questions

There is no remedy. That looks like legitimate mileage to 180k and then rolled back to 70k. You are unfortunately screwed. The car will sell for whatever a 200k+ car goes for.

It's Relicate, not Replicate.

His leather is not indistinguishable from OE. He uses US cow hides that have a different texture, scars (barb wire in the US) and pores filled in than Euro hides....

Re: Clutch hydraulics, difficult to put into gear, keep bleeding or replace?

I would replace the clutch master and clutch slave first if you are sure there is a hydraulic pressure difference. You must replace both.

E46 gauge motors are not that fragile. It's pretty hard to mess them up.

Re: Clutch hydraulics, difficult to put into gear, keep bleeding or replace?

If the clutch pedal pressure isn't changing, it is likely the mechanical side of the clutch system. The clutch wear isn't really an issue, but the guide tube, throwout bearing, clutch fork and pivot...

For the headliner only you should expect to pay $300-400 for labor. More depending on area and if you're having the shop do the removal/install too.

Re: Radiator leak. Z3 M radiator direct fit?

Genuine BMW (behr) is hit or miss. They have more issues than the original. Personally I would do the Z3M rad with the zionsville shroud and expansion tank.
