If I'm getting under a car, I use the 6ton jackstands from HF. Great quality, LARGE base, and ZERO wobble with the car...

There is not enough material there to nutsert/timesert/helicoil.

You CAN do a full rear suspension overhaul in one day, but you need to have extra trailing arms/subframe already welded/cleaned/painted or powdercoated with all the new...

dont agree.. and me selling my Wilwood/UUC kit, and going to OEM calipers with PFC DD rotors proves that.

The pedal feel was horrible, and the pad wear was ridiculous. I was cracking rotors on...

those are both going to be GIANT pita to tighten on the driver side. The inside nut that locks it in, is a giant pita to get to with the exhaust in the way. Makes for very difficult adjustment.

Dyno completed... super rich up top (high 11s) and no rpm pickup cable. Motor is strong, good curve, and AFRs are good enough to beat on the track. Just got a slight retune tonight, and will upload...

damage was not revealed until AFTER teardown. Its a track car, I can do everything on my own, and have always wanted to do the main bearings/new rings ..

you have no idea... I need to fire the vanos unit manually, and rotate the motor by hand now to make sure when the vanos activates, it wont hit piston/valves..

nope... took the risk... Was beyond the scope of the project/budget that I set for what I wanted to do. The mains were checked at the machine shop and found to be "good" though when it was there.

how about when I know the bushing was designed to function a certain way, and more evenly distribute the load instead of the shitty OEM bushings which create undue stress on the subframe mounting...

absolutely incorrect. There is no fix required. Blowing this shiet out of proportion. The BUSHING is carrying the load, NOT the sleeve.

Just got off the phone with AKG. There is ZERO issues with the bushings. People are blowing this way out of proportion and someone didnt understand how an AFTERMARKET bushing that is designed better...

wanted to get in on this. I cant count how many HUNDREDS of AKG bushings I've installed over the last 5-6 years of doing side work on e30/e36/e46 cars. Zero issues.
