TBH as long as the trumpets are similar even if its OEM design and the main body was based on the OEM plenum it should be fine.

axle's will be the next weakest link.. the driveshaft on these cars are pretty beefy from stock and can handle more than your 315 can deliver.

the 2nd engine i bought has spun rod bearing too but not as bad as mine (mine was knocking, the 2nd engine was just making weird noise) and the culprit was cylinder 5 on the engine I am working on....

No, clutch was last changed at 70k by BMW from what I saw on the records when I bought it. Nothing about starter.

No, I am running electric fan but the fan is not on right now either. won't put it back on til this is fixed (Got CSF radiator as well, not really concerned about overheating seen people run fan...

Yes I am referring the side to side play, the Dr.Vanos spline had very little of it. The spline I did the beisan kit w/ has pretty much almost the same play as before the anti-rattle kit installation.

I was able to remove it with a wide mouth adjustable wrench. I tried all sorts of combination w/ the deep socket 32mm and a bunch of wobble/extension and ratchet and I just don't have enough space...

On cold start have someone rev for you and then either put your ear on the part of the cover that is directly above the vanos unit or just have a long screw driver, put that screw driver on whatever...

I don't have the alcantara, I have the other one and it looked pretty good when its done. pictures won't do justice and for under 30bucks It's well worth it. just takes like 2hrs doing the stitching....

mine was the first batch and it fit pretty much right in. didn't have any trouble on it. otherwise the rattle should have come on maybe the first 500miles of it.

There's a lot of clearance on the exhaust. I got megan headers, and no I installed them all at once, but the only thing I didn't change is the exhaust side spindle. I only changed the intake side.

that SES is for my o2 sensor bank 2, no new codes came up. I did notice w/ the belt off the pitch of the sound changed from a deeper tone to a bit higher pitch. Imma check my chain tensioner to see...

I just did this and the rattle is still there, so it isn't the water pump. I did notice the rattle is a bit higher pitch than when it has the belts on but its still there.. I am really stumped on...

Update: It may be my spline I guess.. here's a video of my old and new spline from Dr.Vanos New one has very minimal play while my old one, well... I'll let you watch how it is. old vanos intake...

its not bad, nothing a simple wire brush can't handle. never seen it like that tho, normally there would be some powdery greeny stuff but meh nothing to worry about.
