Re: Streamline & Dr M3an M3's CSL Airbox Development Journal Collaboration

Thanks for posting OP, very nice restoration!

245 fit fine on a 8" wheel. It's the height. Needs to be 245/35/19 F 275/30/19 R

Yeah, just hold my drink while I unbolt my premium forged OE 19s and bolt up some inferior replica garbage.

Re: Just got all my Supersprint stuff. Would you worry about this dent?

You just don't get it. Show some evidence that the SS Section 2 with its dents and all makes less power on a stock car than with the stock section 2.

Re: Just got all my Supersprint stuff. Would you worry about this dent?

Not everyone is counting to the 10th decimal place when it comes to hp or whp. The S54 makes plenty of power for the street stock.

Re: WTT Supersprint Sport for El Diablo Exhaust

Yup, was going to state most of what is above. SS Sport paired with the SS Resonated X-Pipe gives the cleanest tone to the exhaust, much like the Euro E36 M3s (S50B32). The El Diablo and other...

Can't say I didn't see this coming.

Best way to save a lot of time and headache is to find a new or used OE CSL bootlid.

Re: SuperSprint Euro exhaust system install grief

Since the E36 is a 20+ year old platform, I have a feeling they never updated the jigs to address fitment issues for their E36 parts. I would imagine they don't sell nearly as many E36 parts as they...

Re: Painting RAC RS110's a shade of ZCP

I would recommend sticking to the RAC metallic silver that is on the spare wheel. It is easy to match since it is 99% the same as the metallic silver used on 2012 Range Rover wheels. The shade and...

Re: Getting Rekt by a 335i

Sounds like someone bought the wrong car. If one is chasing HP numbers on an E46 M3, one is completely missing the point. The E46 more about the chassis than the power.

3M outdoor (not indoor) double sided tape should hold the bracket and reservoir if you don't want to drill holes.

Re: Group buy: Karbonius CSL Airbox - Up to 14% off

There is no difference in sound, just the cost of the material. They would need sound measurement tools to prove otherwise.

If you look at the pictures before when the mold is being created, you can tell from the flange that is used.

Re: BMW E46 M3 with GTR Engine Gathers a Crowd at Nurburgring

That V8 noise sounds awesome, but I would be surprised if that has a P60B40. I'm guessing a modified S62.

Redish MS go over the hard lines when they do their subframe videos and replace them if they are rusted or damage. They also use the BMW tool to bend the hard lines to avoid creating kinks.

Re: Megan Racing Headers

Cheap stuff, no QC, not surprised. Issues that might popup in the long run, i.e. leaks, welds breaking, etc. - definitely not worth it.

It's all the same made somewhere in Asia = poor QC. Where do you think the AP V2s, SGT V1s, Fabspeeds are (were) made? I'll give you a hint - it is not different factories.

Re: Megan Racing Headers

Won't be surprised when it happens... and by that I mean exhaust leaks. Fitment and lining them up to the studs would be another issue. Both are equally bad.

The major issue is not the welds, it's the substantial gaps and misalignment on the header flanges. No amount of exhaust heat, tightening or magic will bring those back into alignment. It will break...
