Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

Just a follow up on earlier posts about noise from the rear 2WNRs which I intended to post much earlier. After increasing spring rates from 550/650 to 650/750 and running more rebound the clicking...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

I'll add my thoughts since upgrading from 550f/650r to 650f/750r on my 2WNR MCS suspension. I haven't been on track yet but have done three autocross events since the change. I'm very happy with the...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

Thanks for the input. Your experience is what I would anticipate I think. I ran the front bar on medium with the 550/650 springs to avoid understeer and the car felt good. I'm thinking with 600/750...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

Jason, meant to ask you about the 650/750 set up on the phone the other day when I ordered the 600/750 springs but forgot. Do you think the 650 front springs are worth a try before the 600 fronts? I...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

After a full season of track and autocross with the MCS 2WNR suspension and discussion with Lex Carson of MCS I decided to try stiffer springs, moving up from the 550f/650r Hypercos I've run on AST...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

I now have nine track days, several autocross events and about 1500 street miles on the MCS 2WNR suspension and though I'd update my impressions so far. I'm running 550f/650r springs with Vorshlag...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

I think the spherical RSMs play a huge role in transmitting the noise as well. Add the spherical bearing at the shock bottom and probably a double whammy. I have my Rogues just in case.

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

I'm coming from AST 4100s with the dampers and RSMs being the only change. IMO it's worth the upgrade because the handling has gone to another level even at MCS's recommended settings. I haven't...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

^ Evidently we're not alone,Vorshlag said they have several customers with the issue although not everyone. I,too, wondered about the spherical bearing at the bottom of the shock but mine seems tight...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

Just to follow up a little,I played with rebound settings in the rear this morning and found that going from 6 clicks to 8 clicks in the rear reduced the noise significantly and only the sharpest...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

^ Thanks. That tracks with what Vorshlag said, that some people experience the noise and others don't and that sometimes the noise disappears. Makes me wonder if spring rate or possibly rebound...

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

I recently installed MCS 2WNR suspension on my E46 M3,replacing the AST 4100s I ran for several years. I kept my Vorshlag camber plates (had them rebuilt by Vorshlag) and 550f/650r Hyperco springs....

Re: Looking for feedback on MCS suspension

Reviving an old thread here but just ordered MCS 2WNRs from Vorshlag and have a question about front sway bar end links which was discussed previously in this thread. Jason (Vorshlag) said I would...
