I just used the maf cleaner I had laying around. The pressure from the spray in itself was enough to loosen the flap. Rag and old toothbrush to reach deep in the TB.

The car definitely feels...

Re: Quick SMG review from an inexperienced driver

But a 20yr old 3series is no modern V12 lambo with scissor doors and 355 rear tires. Hardly comparable in terms of their purpose, or anything really. But to each their own.

Part check *fuel filler tube nut

Does anyone know what secures this tube? I bought a plastic nut (based on realoem) and it doesnít fit or is even threaded. Without the nut to hold the tube up, the rubber hose will come undone from...

Re: Driftworks Gets Their V10 M3 Back!

He’s mentioned he’s doing it for sentimental value. it’s the car that got him noticed. If it wasn’t for that, he probably wouldn’t bother with an e46 with the cars he has.

I specifically said m3. It was strictly for e46 and ended there. E9x, f8x, and new m3 uses dct.

Look back a few pages or any previous smg threads. Dct is always brought up. Apparently it lacks...

Re: Slicktop Surgery

I think the standard slicktop is a better look if sticking with factory bumper/trunk/diffuser (which I miss). The cf roof only looks good if you have the complete csl parts. Great job op.

But, but fastest human shift is ~140ms according to you. Or does that only account for old BMW’s :shifty: those 997 gt3 owners can only wish their cars shifted like your smg!

Re: Quick SMG review from an inexperienced driver

I’ve never driven a DSG car, but based on this video it feels more “automatic” than an m3 dct. So based on this, the m3 should feel more engaging.

Even the m4 dct felt different from the e92 dct....

Re: Wheel fitment question - 19x9.5 et 22 with 265/30/19 on the front

Pretty sure I ran 19x9.5+22 with my KW V2’s and did not rub the springs. It’s the +35 you need to worry about.

I did however rub the fender liners on sharp turns w/ 235/35. Ditched the wheels...

If anything the smg “hate” is coming from smg owners themselves lol. I meet more smg owners talking about wanting to swap out their smg for a manual.
