Re: Transmission Swap Difficulty (SMG)

I would not remove the actuator since it is difficult...

Re: Cannot remove transmission: How do I get 10mm bolt out?

I used a 10 mm ratcheting wrench. Wasn't that hard to get out. If it's rounded, try small vice grips to break it loose.

Re: High oil temps after rod bearings?

No point in not replacing the old bearings. With 100k miles, there is wear.
If the torque procedures weren't followed, thus could be a reason for tight bearings.

My bet is on GPS since your errors relates to “angle”. It’s the easier than doing compression springs so I’d start there.

I used fine steel wool w/ brake cleaner to clean off most of the built on crud. Was very effective.

I don't see why you can't remove the motor and swap out the sensor. May not even have to remove the motor if you room. It comes with Burkhart's kits, so I'd expect you can replace while removing...
