Re: Obioban's Avin Avant 3 thread (eventually DIY to delete all stereo modules/harnes

If anything it's too loud. Depending on what's playing I keep the volume anywhere between 8 and 12 (out of 100 I think)

European cars in general can remove the radio option code and have...

I suspect we'll be forced to 19s at some point regardless of the benefit to 18s. 18s will likely become how 17s are today in that there are few good tire options available.

I suspect a dyno exaggerates the whp difference since the car is accelerating a relatively light drum rather than a whole car. I'd be interested to see 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

Re: Income to House Mortgage Ratio (poll)

I mean even if they're not okay with it, seems like it's not really a matter of choice anymore. Even renting isn't that great of an option with how quickly those rates keep rising.

Re: Bring A Trailer - 2K-Mile 2002 BMW M3 Coupe 6-Speed

Yeah that interior looks pretty rough for the age. Look at the floor mats - mine weren't that trashed even at 100k miles.

Re: Bring A Trailer - 2K-Mile 2002 BMW M3 Coupe 6-Speed

The yellow spray is normal. It just becomes gray/black on most cars with more than 2k miles. Driveshaft is under the heat shield

Re: How a clutch works

Some cars are a lot easier to shift clutchlessly than the others. It was pretty easy in my 330i for example, but I never was able to do it in the M3 (granted I haven't tried in years).

I had the WinterSport 4Ds before the PA4s (and the 3Ds before that). The PA4s are definitely better in dry weather. I can actually go WOT in 1st/2nd with the PA4s. They also ride much better and are...

Re: Aftermarket head unit options!!!

I haven't heard too many (really, any) people complain about the bluetooth audio quality of these units in the context of the E46. It'll probably be fine.

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) I don't think you can forward Waze from you iPhone, but you can run Waze directly on the unit, which is even better IMO.
4) My understanding is this is doable too
5) Unknown....

Re: Car wont start

Often times it's just the starter terminal that's corroded (in fact in my case, it was the end under the positive terminal that just needed a little cleaning). So try that first.

Re: MK60 DSC thread

It may have been an oversight. Non-M DME doesn't have a resistor, so they would be at 60Ω. Presumably they "forgot" when updating the M-clusters to the new design.
