I agree with Lang that rod bearing width is the main cause for bearing failure. Whether you consider replacement every 100k miles on an 8000+ rpm motor normal or premature failure is up to you....

SDW and CMP are both apparently working on monoball FCAB designs that will hopefully imporve on some o the shortcomings of the Turners. I'll be holding out to see how those go.

Anyone else’s mounts fit like hot trash? Spent hours trying to get just the drivers seat in and the mounts are about a half inch too wide. On top of that the instructions suck too.

The slop is inside the tranny. I had a solid mounted AKG stage 2 and DSSR and still had lots of slop. I verified from underneath while another person moved the shifter within the slop.

I'm good on my end. It hasn't caused any vibration or noise that I've noticed. Don't need another reason to drop the exhaust for the 100th tme in the past year :lolhit:

I wouldnt worry about bearings yet till you see a trend. I’ve seen peoples copper/lead fluctuate a lot including my own and bearings be fine. But you will rarely see chromium in the oil and elevated...

I would definitely be alarmed with those kind of levels of iron and chromium on a typical 5k mileage report let alone only 1k miles especially after coming off a clean report and a sudden dramatic...
