Re: New Guide: Enabling the outer LED ring on OEM tail lights

It'll be pretty much the same. Instead of splicing into a wire that's already there, you're adding a wire and splicing into that.

Re: What Gear are You Using When Stopped at a Traffic Light?

Itís unclear as to whether it goes into neutral and releases the clutch or if it just keeps the clutch disengaged the whole time. The latter will wear out the throwout bearing quicker.

Re: Where to Purchase Remanufactured ZCP Rack- 32132282642?

Re: 911 997 carrera S. A real review.

Engine behind the rear axle isn't really the "right" spot. Porsche makes it work after many years of refinement, but mid engine (as in behind you, but in front of rear wheels) is probably the closest...

Edit: Actually I see what you mean about the X3 being rotated 90ļ now. Maybe that shaft with the Z8 coupler would do the trick?

Edit again: Actually thinking about it, can we just use the E36...

People do have a varying tolerance for these things. Personally I think the cars can be a bit smelly even with cats, especially on cold starts. Without cats my eyes are literally watering and I get a...

Re: MaxJax portable 2 post lift

I mean I've seen too many injuries (and know of a couple deaths) from jack stands. I barely trust those ****ers at minimum height, no way in hell am I getting under a set at max height.

Mine did the same thing. IMO feature, not a bug. I'd rather the strut bar break than the tower itself.

Re: MaxJax portable 2 post lift

Max height will be about the same as jack stands at full height. But even in my limited experience I've seen too much shit to trust jack stands at max height.

Re: Cluster Update ???

You could solder some wires onto the m35080 programmer and use that to do the programming in circuit. Might also be helpful to wire in a 5vpowwr supply as well

Re: RDC retrofit

Both existed actually, though the rdc system may not have been available in the US. In bmw speak the wheel speed system is usually called “rpa”. M3s only ever got the rpa system worldwide.

Rein is oem for a lot of components, but I don’t think they are for the water pump. The ecs pictures of the rein unit definitely don’t look oem.

Re: M3/4 "Pure"

Just not something BMW / ZF want to warranty. Plenty of people have pushed much higher numbers through the transmission, but there's probably a small, but observable increase in failure.

I've DD'd my M3 with the MAP system for years - even before I got a CSL airbox. Drivability is pretty much as good as stock.
