Re: What is the m3forum-preferred e46 m3 RSM setup?

First of all the rubber is quite stiff (with a metal collar I believe), but furthermore, you want to allow some deflection. It's not a race car, it's a high performance street car. Put solid...

Re: Brake upgrade options

Stock is already braided. Also the majority of the length of the line from the MC is hard line. Same with the clutch, plus it's a super short run anyway. Unnecessary mods, our favorites (and ECS's)...

There are tons of people selling their stock calipers too, if you can find a low-ish mileage set. Wouldn't cost much, stock parts don't command much.

Or find some ATE pistons and seals and...

Re: What is the m3forum-preferred e46 m3 RSM setup?

Talking about bushings. Any reinforcement plate would suffice, no need for anything fancy. You don't even *need* them, just some cheap insurance. Z3 plates are oe and more than adequate.

Op you should say whether the car is pretty stock or not. monoball rsms for $200 is laughable if you've got koni/billy/sachs shocks and stock or stock like springs (eibach/dinan).

Re: Quick question about Bilstein B12 Pro kit install

Def not 9 as bump is internal in billy hd. 8 would raise stack height and is primarily to catch external bump, but it is tapered to catch the tapered strut shaft, so should probably reuse, though I...

Re: Status Gruppe SCZA Rear Muffler

I don't think a tune is going to help. You lost overall pipe diameter and merge.

Re: anyone running 7.5mm spacers with hub extenders?

Hub extenders can only be used up front. Read their description.

And what does 2.5mm matter anyway?

Re: What Jack are you using 2019?

That only works when there's no or little weight. When fully loaded, I've played with the handle and it doesn't move.

Probably a faulty or tired stand.

Fuel filter is never the problem. It's a good routine maintenance item, but it's not gonna get so clogged the car doesn't start. Never seen that in 10 years.

For those of us long term owners...

Re: Plz help noob with diff options, and maintenance

The diff and the lsd are not the same thing.

I'd expect a diff like ours to go 200k+. It's the clutches in the LSD that wear out more quickly that bothered me. Makes the care "lifeless" while...

But then there's that little triangular...
