FYI OP, the newer style AP exhaust sounds like butt (muted/boomy/no character) and is made in china just like the $400 megan mufflers - same muffler fyi.

Rod bearings, vanos & subframe not addressed hurts probably. Heavy replica wheels, at least they have Michelins. Seems like a nice car overall though. 2005 6spd CB are the high points for sure.

Re: Suggestions on valve adjustments near SoCal?

Here's a good quiz question:

Did each new S54 get 24 shims of the same thickness off the assembly line or did they painstakingly measure the gap and insert the appropriate shim as each engine was...

Re: Bmw E46 m3 Bilstein B12 questions

Yes, the 15mm (realoem says 14.5mm) pad. I believe coupes' are 5mm.

Even if you do have the thicker one in, if it's old, it could be well squished and a new 15mm pad may give a little more...

Re: Name your top 5 favorite TV series

If you haven't yet, give the new Queer Eye on Netflix a shot - hilarious. Jonathan is my favorite, "OMG, who gave you permission to be so fabulous?!"

Re: Bmw E46 m3 Bilstein B12 questions

Not strange at all. With a vert and eibachs, you've got a big drop in the rear and not much up front.

The gas charged billys are also pushing up in the front more than the rear.

Make sure...

Re: Bmw E46 m3 Bilstein B12 questions

B12 kit came with H&R springs, now Eibach pro-kit. Do you know which you have?

H&r gives a lot of rake, a big -1.2" drop up front.
Eibach is almost opposite, small .6 drop up front, larger .9"...

Re: Cold Air Intake????

I guess I read it wrong? There's barely any color, it's hard to see, it's jumpy, but just going off of peak #s, it's a max gain of 8hp and tq loss of 3? There's no second run either. You know...

Re: Cold Air Intake????

Looks like you're trading tq for hp, which would be useful on track if you are on a budget I guess. Tires, brakes and lessons or even an extra visit would be $ better spent tho no?

Still within...

Re: Cold Air Intake????

Because 1 or 2 hp is within the noise. And it's only at the very very end of the powerband, only really useful on track, but we're still talking about 1-2hp lol

Re: Cold Air Intake????

Ya Toanster did it Stan. Irrelevant results. Plus, you might gain 1 hp at 7500rpm, but you can lose 1 tq at 5000 or whatever. It's a waste of time.
