Turned out I had the clutch disk mounted backwards.. Ordered a new pressure plate as it took some damage, along with a new slave...

Compression test is bleh.
Do a blackstone oil analysis, and see if you can get your hands on a compression leak down tester.
Hopefully the bottom end bearings are OK and you can get away with...

MY advice would be see if anyone around has a PEAKE, INPA, GT1, or autologic diagnostic tool and they would be willing to run a quick scan on your car. The generic OBD code...

Thats what I use when I replace front or rear crankshaft seals and have never had them...

The 6 crank pulley bolts are indeed the correct length. I reused them from the old engine. Not sure if I was supposed to change them, but the torque values weren't too high so I don't think they were...

I ran MT90 fluid in my 91 318iS when I ditched the dual mass flywheel in favor of a 9 pound single-mass flywheel and I had literally no gear rattle when in neutral. I'm sure the sprung hub clutch...

Compression test it. If the numbers are low, then its likely a bent intake valve. You can leak down test the engine to verify which valve and what exactly has failed

I've transported an entire S52 engine in the back of a 2003 Honda Pilot, drove around 40 miles home. You shouldn't have an issue moving just the short block.
