Re: Reading TPS love data..

Normal. The car uses the ICV until it needs more airflow than the ICV can provide. At low load, that can lead to a fair bit of revs.

Stalling to a stop can be a lot of things, but basically it's...

Re: 320i E21 $10 OEM+ transmission mounts write-up/DIY

Well okay if you don't care about the clutch disabling cruise you can do it with setting K_SKRAFTS_CONTROL to 0. Not really a RHD vs LHD thing though.

I've personally never liked that solution.

Re: BMW ETK Install

I think the ETK depends on an old version of Java that doesn’t work too well with newer versions of Windows. I do remember I did cobble something together by replacing files with those from a newer...

Itís not a perfect test, weíve seen both false positives and false negatives on this forum. But itís pretty much the only screening tool we have.

Most particles will be suspended, and even if there is shift left behind, the oil pickups are behind strainers, and it goes through the filter before lubricating anything.

Re: PSA: know what you're getting into before buying a CSL style intake

No way it averages to only $1k a year unless you do everything yourself (which is not what the conversation is about), and even then it sounds low. I spend more than that on tires alone yearly. $10k...

Let's be real, most people who own these cars at this point aren't in the top 1%. When a non-exotic costs $10k+/year to have a shop maintain, that is borderline unownable IMO. Especially in the...

You claim it's a difficult process, while everyone who has experience installing the box disagrees. Your opinion on the matter isn't as valuable.

I still daily it, but I don't intend to for much longer. It's just not a very comfortable car to drive for a commuting scenario.

Also note how much bigger the e46 m3 in the front looks. Lens distortion and positioning make a big difference.

Re: E46 M3 vs M4...driving feel?

Itís wider than the e39, but itís shorter - length is roughly in between the E46 and e39. Same height. And thatís in M form, so the extra width is largely coming from the fender flares.

Turbo and...

Re: E46 M3 vs M4...driving feel?
