American Racing Headers for the E46 M3
Hey guys, we wanted to wait until we had a little more information to provide on these headers, but we've been receiving a great deal of interest in them already....so we are just going to put this out there now and update as we go.
We were fortunate enough to receive a few prototype E46 M3 headers from ARH (American Racing Headers) for testing. We recently installed them on an NA E46 M3 and performed some initial testing. We are pleased with the preliminary results so far, but plan to do further testing and compare them against what is generally considered to be one of the best headers on the market currently-the Supersprint stepped V1's. We also plan to test on an FI application as well at some point. The ARH header retains the bottom end power of the currently available header designs, but seems to produce significantly more power in the 6,000-8,000rpm range. However, tuning (as witnessed through current testing) is definitely recommended to take advantage of this unique header design. Introductory Pricing for American Racing Headers and TTFS ARH Tune http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...post1067658363 Some information on the headers: 1. 1-3/4” primaries with optimized length for outstanding low to high rpm power. 2. 6 into 1 merge collector with built in rotational firing from much improved scavenging and unique sound. 3. 6 into 1 internal scavenger spike to direct exhaust pulses to the center of the merge. 4. Direct fit 3-1/2” downpipe that splits and mates to section two. 5. ½” thick one piece flange eliminates possibility of warping 6. Counter bored bolt holes allows use of factory studs and nuts providing a hassle free install 7. Built to last indefinitely in street or max effort race applications 8. 100% Made In USA using 304 S/S throughout 9. Ability to run it as a single catted or catless setup This is a one piece design (headers plus section one) for LHD models. We have not confirmed pricing yet but a group buy with our tune is a possibility if there is enough interest. Below are some pictures of the headers uninstalled/installed and some screen shots of initial testing. |

I'm really interested in how these headers sound.

Re: American Racing Headers for the E46 M3
Would also like to know the weight difference between these headers another others if it's substantial or not. Also, this header only runs 1 o2 sensor?
