Ever seen this kind of bolt

This bolt is giving me a hard time. Has anyone seen this before? Sorry the picture is from a telescopic mirror. Notice the brass look around the removed threads. The bolt will not back out.

I may be wrong, but i know at the dealerships they have this thing with 2 bolts drilled into a piece of plexiglass, saying this is how BMW saves weight. Then one is a regular steel bolt then the other, new light weight one, is a titanium redesigned bolt....and that kinda looks like it.

......interesting.

How would one get this bolt out. Take a dremel cut off wheel and take the threads out then purchase a new bolt from BMW?

FIT bolt...sounds pressed in, like they don't want you to remove this item

probably gets a lot of vibration, etc., from the actuator movement

Well the actuator has to come out, because of leaking around the input shaft seal and the part comes as it is shown on RealOEM. If I have to drop the tranny, then I will just change the clutch while I am at it.

What would be the next step? Wait for BMW to send me that bolt and see what that looks like?

just looked at the TIS...look at the realoem diagram, item 7...it's a nut that goes on that bolt...it's missing on yours

did you remove it?
you should be able to tap the bolt out...

not sure if this helps....
