Had a clear bra installed on my M3. Paid a lot but the quality of the job was okay at best.

Any tips on pros in the NOVA area?

Thanks

If you're willing to drive to PA I know a guy (M3 owner) who does a great job.

Just to follow up. I had Roadblock in Sterling do my 650. VERY well done. $995 for the front end, lights, mirror backs, and door edges.

As a nice treat I saw $1.4M in cars when I went to pick it up. That only involved three cars. An Enzo, Lambo vert and Masterai Quattro. First ENZO I"ve seen up close. They opened the door so I could peek in there too.

Well a search uncovered my old thread.

Well let me refresh it as I await the arrival of an E93. I got a decent job on my 650 vert at Fairfax but wondered if anyone has a recommendation on a good clear bra shop in NOVA.

Thanks.

I have a good friend that lives in Herndon that does primarily high end cars. You can search on e90post for Raja Ventureshield to see his work.

Thanks Paul.

I'm a long time local chapter member and thanks for your efforts as social chair.

Funny thing is that I saw some of his posts yesterday and sent him a PM. Just waiting to hear back.

I would highly NOT recommend this Raja or Ventureshield.

I have pictures, documents, a sliced up M3 and a check as testament to the damage he did to my car.

While the matter was settled out of court, Ventureshield did nothing to support its "would-be" customer either.

I REPEAT, BASED ON MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH RAJA AND SUBSTANTIATED FACTS, SUPPORTED BY A WITNESS, MY PERSONAL OPINION WOULD BE TO AVOID RAJA AND VENTURESHIELD.

Please PM if interested in more information. I don't want any other forum members to go through what I had to.

Best thing to do is to ask Raja about it...then report back and let everyone know what he said.

Then I can verify if he's telling the truth. From that, everyone can make their decisions as to whether or not he's an honest or competent installer.

I'd like to put in my two cents.

FrontGuard Paint Protection

www.frontguard.com

Authorized XPEL installer, located in Annapolis, MD. They are mobile and can come to your house and do it there.

Amazing work, quality, and customer service. They work on various high end cars and I can guarantee they're BY FAR the BEST in the region - hands down. Matt is the owner and main installer, give him a call at 443-864-8448 or email him at matt@frontguard.com.

They've done cars for a few forum members on here too, including mine. Here are a couple threads on here that mention them:

My side of the story. Actually there isn't two side to the story here at all.
This was many years ago and what Richard is saying 100% accurate. I did make a mistake and I manned up and paid him with no issues. I have email trails if need, but seriously I don't think we need them on the forums. I paid for him to get his car fixed at the most reputable place in town (also the most expensive). Richard, I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused. If you remember I was very easy to deal with and did not refuse to my wrong doing.

As for work, it made me realize additional training was necesary for me to continue. I took the time off to improve my craft and have many happy customers. One should always do the due dilligence before chosing their installer and If I can prove I am honest and competent, then that is great. I would like to earn your business. If you don't feel comfortable then you should chose someone who you feel comfortable with. This is your car in the end and your choice. I would be upset too if my car was damaged in the process.

Once again, i would like to win business based on my work and if anyone needs reference, please do not hesitate

Just wanted to share a bit of info to the folks in the area about the clear bra Raja did on my 2011 M3 vert yesterday. Extensive kit -- full hood, front fenders and mirrors. He surprised my my doing the A pillars, rear fender top (protect against scratches loading the trunk) and the lower portion of the rear fenders where road debris could impact the car.

Car is Silverstone II which is a nice color for a bra application, but the job he did was GREAT and it's invisible. Fourth clear bra I've had installed (E46 M3, 650 couple, 650 vert + this one). This was by far the best craftsmanship I've personally experienced and I've always sought out highly regarded techs in the past. Pampered the car too, came back in detailed condition. VERY happy. Highly recommended.

Just wanted to pass this along.
