Hey Guys It seems everytime I check This forum, Our Threads always show no action. Anyway thought I would start One up. On another note, is anyone
doing any meets or cruises lately? Colorado Has weird weather, It should be nice for another month or so. I hope everyone Hasn't put their cars away already.

I wish there were more CO members too....2 of my neighbors have m3's (one of them is a 95 lightweight and the other a steel grey e46 m3 convert) When i get my M3 i will def try to get some cruises going. For the mean time if anyone does them i can get my dad to take me with the ferrari or RS 6 on them.

here pretty soon, but it seems they all fall through. You guys should let me know if you want to, M3 or not a cruise in general should be a lot of fun.

Yeah I agree, sooner the better, My M3 is going in the garage in a few weeks too. Since everyone seems to be in or near the Denver area, I say we meet downtown? Is this Coming Sunday Afternoon too early for everyone? Oct. 9.
Let me know maybe the following Sunday. Sunday's seem to work best because more people have it off. I just don't want another cruise fall through.
If anyone has any Alternatives to where we could meet please post.

Well then its set! Anyone wanting to Meet Downtown this sunday Oct 9th, M3 or Not (But M3 are always welcome) We should meet Downtown At The Shell Gas station off of Colfax Just west of Speer St. The Gas station is right across the street of Metro College. There is always a lot of cars and bikes that meet there. The best way to get there is Take I-25 to Colfax AVE. exit on Colfax headed East The shell station Is on the south side about half a mile down. I say we meet there around 3:00 PM. we can decide where to go from there. Maybe a mountain drive possibly downtown. Anyone with questions of where it is, Post a reply or E-mail me A.S.A.P. thanks and hope to see you there.

It was just a lame attempt to get you guys to change the meet to Saturday. (Which seems to have worked by the way :D ) I figured there would probably be more chicks walking around town on Saturday rather than Sunday. Being that Saturday is a bar night... Like I said, it was a lame excuse...

For Now Just us Snobby M3 Guys, I started this thread just because I was tired of seeing only The "ricers" and other crappy car groups meet, I thought it was about damn time Some nice cars cruised around together and Shared cars and etc. etc. etc. It would be great to have other cars come as well, don't get me wrong I just havn't put the word out yet, if anyone wants to that would be great.

P.S Note to all ricers, i'm just kiding around I have a 96 Eclipse as well.

Just puting this out there, Would a drive from our meeting place to the mountains be too far for everyone? Or should we stick more to the city? let me know, plus post some alternatives if you have them. mountains all the way!!!

No such thing as a cruise too far when driving a bimmer...

We could head up highway 6 through the mountains (plenty of tunnels, the sound is sweet) or up morrison road towards red-rocks... plenty of good corners, and there are a few cafe's along the way. :shiftdriv :shiftdriv

I'll just throw this out there to chew on. Since it seems that it's going to be a Foothills cruise, perhaps you should change the meeting place somewhere closer to them. Maybe the Conoco in Morrison?

Just seems to be a good place to meet. That way you can gas up, get your food, Powerball tickets, and hit the canyons!

If I get an appeal from the wife I might beable to swing it, but I'm not holding my breath.

Cheers!

Silver///M Saturday @3:00 pm At the Shell Gas Station off of Colfax just west of Speer, on the south side. I thought we would all meet downtown because its off the interstate and its easier and faster for everyone to meet there. Sleeper, your sig pic really makes me miss my car. How's she running Pete?

She's running like a champ. I think we might break the 100k mile mark this week. I will be doing inspection II soon, as my work as a lift and any tool I would ever need. I have replaced the rear shocks with bilstein sports, and will replace the rear shock mounts soon with the $100 ones at turnermotorsport.com. I had it on the lift about 3 weeks ago, and it looks like I will need to get the brakes resurfaced, but I won't worry about that until I am out of brake pads, and then I might get new brake rotors anyway, I haven't desided on that. I was able to see the headgasket leak that Murray motors spotted, and if wasn't a leak, more of a mild seeping, like the service advisor said. I am going to be doing a power steering flush, brake flush and coolant flush before we get the new machines(the new machines aren't that great, and the machine that flushes the brakes does not have a garentee that it will not clog ABS pumps. A lot of the other techs are pissed about that). Last month, I ran over a nail with the rear tire, so I replaced both rear tires with the same brand tires that were already on it, toyo's  I'll replace the front tires in the spring. I have also checked the clutch, and it seems to have plenty of life left, which makes me wonder if it was ever replaced? I'd have to check the reciepts you left for me, Dan.

With the normal maintenance and the unforseen mishaps, this has to be the most reliable and cheapest to maintain car I have ever owned. The only little thing that ticks me off is the "low beam failure" that comes on the OBC when I turn on the headlights, because of the low voltage HID bulbs(Which are frickin' awesome!).

Only now, I have realized how bad I robbed you, Dan......

....Sorry...

:rofl2: That's awesome. I'm glad to hear that she is in good hands.

The HIDS were definielty worth every penny I paid for them. Those suckers are so bright.

I never did the clutch and the previous owner didn't mention the clutch as something he did either so it makes me wonder if the dealership that he sold his car to did the clutch. I think that would have been something that they mentioned to me. :nixweiss:

As far as rotors go, I just put some slotted and drilled rotors on the S4. I found a guy that buys rotors in bulk and then machines them and coats them in his shop. I have been very impressed with them so far and here's the kicker......$290 for all four shipped. I think it will be a littl ebit more for the e36 stuff, but you should check him out. www.raceconcepts.net He doesn't have everything he can get up on the website so just call him and give him your car info and see if he can get them for you. Sounds good. I am not going to get new rotors until I need to change out the pads. There is no vibration or pulsation from the petal, so i am not too worried. We have a brake lathe at work, but I do not know if they are still machinable. If they are, I'll probably machine them, and sell them cheap on ebay, and buy some performance rotors later.

Next time there is a Colorado GTG, we both definately have to go.

Looks pretty sweet on the silver one, I think I will just keep the halo's I have and but H.I.D in both low beam and driving lights. Maybe the Elipsoids?
