Well, according to recent articles and press releases, there won't be a 4 series. The 3-series coupes, converts, awds, sedans, and M's will all be wearing a 3-series badge. I think that BMW has decided that the 3-series name has too much tradition and carries too much name recognition in its class to segregate cars out from it.

Nothing has or hasnt been confirmed. There was talk of a 4 door version of the 3 Series to be called 3 Series and the 4 Series to be a 3 Series with 4 Doors, still nothing confirmed at all.

The problem is the 3 series sedan is being displayed everywhere! Where is the coupe? I Thought in the past BMW put both the last 3 series coupe and sedan came out at the same time under the 3 series name. Since the coupe is not seen I thought BMW is waiting to make the coupe a separate series :nixweiss:

As said above....just like the E46, the E90 will be introduced some time within the next 6 months to a year.

IOW, the E46 sedan and coupe did not come out at the same time.
