View Full Version : 2007 E91 BMW M3 Spyshots
Duck360198 Wed, May-04-2005, 02:43:19 AM First, sorry if this is a repost. I didn't see any recent posts about it.
E91??? WHat happened to E90?? This is being reported by the most recent issue of Motor Trend. Sorry guys...thing looks absolutely hideous and way too conservative for an M3. I don't have a scanner so I took a photograph. It looks really bad and with a flash it looks worse because of glare. Work with me here!
Ahhhhh, so glad I have an E46

Just lettin you know that the car will not look like that. That M3 is covered up so you can't see what it'll look like

How much will change? Looks like you can see a lot of the curves and lines though, no? :nixweiss:
Psycho792 Wed, May-04-2005, 04:42:19 AM no, that car has way too much camo on it
flabmaster Wed, May-04-2005, 06:03:21 AM E91??? WHat happened to E90?? Well, that is kind of up in the air as of yet. I've heard that it will be e90, e91, and e92, all from different sources/publications. So to answer your question, we don't know what happened to e90. Everyone else is right, the thing is too camo'd, but I still don't like the e90 3 series, so idk what I'll think of the M3 variant. All I can say by looking at the picture is that those had better not be turn signal strips on the door mirrors :puke:

Edit: forgot to say this:
Ahhhhh, so glad I have an E46
I don't care if it's camoed or not, I completely agree!!
Mikeobello Wed, May-04-2005, 06:09:05 AM they dont got testing if the carosserie will be fancy enough, the tests are for the inner values (engine, brakes, handling,...) they hardly ever use the final carroserie, they dont go ask pinin farina to design one so they can cover it up. i mean think about it, bmw knows what the clients want and rather then rip the clients off, they mainly surprised with an outrageous new car! this will be the same with the following m3 - trust me
(by the way, its still two years to go, until the car is out here in europe, so plenty of time to work on the design)
dober174 Wed, May-04-2005, 06:39:46 AM That car looks HUGE!!!!! I've seen a lot of "covered" cars and even with the cover you could still see size and a little tiny idea of what was coming - but this car is BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks big and some ugly Ford or Pontiac! I showed my wife and asked her what she thoguht (she totally doesn't undersand cars) and even she said that it looked big and ugly! I talked to a fired of mine who works at BMW and he said that if that's really what the new M3 is going to look like, he's leaving to Mercedes!! LOL!!!!
dober174 Wed, May-04-2005, 06:42:57 AM One more thing - people stop! I totally want to believe that the new M3 is going to be awesome because I want a new one, but everytime I see a picture that is half guessing and half photoshop it makes me sad!

Why base your judgement on a camo'd test car? BMW is keeping the M3 under tight wraps, so we have absolutely no idea what the final car will look like. Everyone needs to sit back, relax and be patient.
vivid Wed, May-04-2005, 01:35:52 PM sorry I wanted to see the camo next to a hopefull PS... I think the PS is not too far off.

unvmym3 Wed, May-04-2005, 04:28:07 PM runs to the porcelin god to throw up...
hybrid_eg Wed, May-04-2005, 04:49:51 PM it could be the M3, the cammo they have on it... btw.. enlarges the vehicle about 25% minimum, just the other day i drove some 2008 C-class's these will not be available for European Market until Mid 2007 and coming to states sometime in 2008.. they are size of a freaking E class.. with plastic armor covering entire car w/actual cars skin under. Same goes for BMW, the skin will actually make the car look entirely different as this is exactly why.. i see and drive these prototypes about once a month, anything from C, E, and ML class.. from airport to nearby hotel :-).. as they are coming here for testing..
Golgo13 Wed, May-04-2005, 06:35:34 PM I remember the spyshots of the E46 M3, it looked NOTHING like the production car. Looked more like a honda than anything. They don't put the production body on it for a reason.
Duck360198 Wed, May-04-2005, 09:07:13 PM If this is not the way it's going to look TO AN EXTENT, then why the hell even report on it or take pictures of it? Seems completely pointless to me. I would expect to see a number of the features we see here to be on the new M3.
I can understand a concept car to be a lot different looking than a production vehicle, but not this photo. It's close to production so I can't imagine too many changes taking place.
But, I could be wrong!
Mikeobello Wed, May-04-2005, 09:24:19 PM Man look at the new 3 series, i think there is a hell of a lot potential for a f... good lookin m3. at the time the new m3 will be out - all of you guys (including me...) will be wanting to have one i am very sure!
e36_m3_Turbo Thu, May-05-2005, 12:16:12 AM Only one word. UGLY.
Truth Thu, May-05-2005, 01:23:29 AM It's close to production so I can't imagine too many changes taking place.
It's not close to production. Production is at least a year and a half away. The regular 3-series coupe wont' be introduced until next year, so just imagine how much longer it will be until we see the M3 production version.

well when the E90 3-series was covered up it looked like crap. Then they took the camo off, and it still looks like crap. I can't see the new M3 being any different.
