Ok, i installed the xm roady 2. I have it set up to use the already included wireless fm modulator. I'm not getting very good sound quality. How can I hard wire it? I'm not used to working on an m3 so the most info I can get the better. thanks, mike

First the good news, it will sound a better hardwired...those RF/wireless deals are the worst sounding solutinos. Just a RF hardwire will sound a little better but not much.
I have a Pioneer Premier HU that was XM ready and I am using Pioneer 910 XM reciever. This is as hardwired as it gets, no RF modulator...BUT the XM does not sound as good as a CD by a long shot. I don't know why...if the XM broadcast or satelitte in general is just crap.
Just so you're not dissappointed.

OK, I did not know this maybe you all do maybe not so for info to all. It had poor reception because I had the antenna on the dash. I moved it to the back deck lid and stuck the magnet on one of the child seat tie downs. This way, the antenna is on metal. I now have great sound quality!! yay...
