Hello there....that would be a lot of fun if you have not already run with this. I will start to watch this area more going forward to see what everyone is planning

Sign me up! I was suprised that I didn't see some of you guys at the Steve Dinan lecture at Performing Imports this past weekend....?

I was going to be there, but had to go out of town at the last minute (knoxville to help my grandparents get ready to move) Ack. Believe me I would have much rather been at performing imports.

Well now that its just about April, we should probably start thinking about when we would want to do this drive... I'm thinking end of April/Beginning of May sometime.

Yeah, it wa a good event but it didn't affect my life in any startling ways.......except for plunking down money for a new throttle body.

I'm in a wedding here in town on April 12th. Any other time is good for me.......

I was at performing imports. I would definitely be interested in going on the drive, but since I work 2 out of 3 days the odds that you guys will be going on my day off aren't in my favor...

Spent last weekend on the Tail of the Dragon. The weather was great and traffic was not too bad. Lots of motorcycles, a few MR2's and S2000's. Got up there Saturday night and drove the Tail that night and the next day. The night run was alot of fun with the cycles flying by. Never saw a cop all weekend.

Where exactly is the 'Tail of the Dragon' - sounds like a great place to make a run, but have no clue how to get there.

The Tail of the Dragon is an 11 mile section of U.S. 129 that extends from North Carolina into Tennessee. It is near Robbinsville N.C. The road extends along the western boundary of the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The Tail has 318 turns in 11 miles. Also, the view is great at the lookout. There is a damn at the bottom of the road called Fugitive Bridge from the movie the Fugitive. Lots of motorcycles, considered one of the best roads in North America. Check out the web site for lots of info and detailed maps.
