Hey guys, I just got a new shift knob for my car. However, this is my first time to change shift knob of Bimmer (in the past I dealt with Jap cars and all of them just twist the knobs counterclockwise to take them off) and I look at the inside of my new shift knob, it seems that NOT to twist if off this time. Do you guys know how to take off the old one and put the new one? Thanks!

Just simply pull? No tricky thing (I mean something like clip) between the knob and the lever holding them tight together?

What kinda gear knob is it?, Cuz the one on my evo has the clips, And on my old car was a momo one that you had to turn and it screwed off, But its for sure its gotta be one of the two, Either turn it off, Or give it a good yank

If it is a stock e30 knob, pull on it.

If it is an E36 knob, pop the cap on the top and unscrew the phillips head screw to loosen it up, and then PULL.

lol @ breaking your nose!
