Budman Fri, Mar-11-2005, 12:00:12 PM Check Engine Light. ;) klangford Fri, Mar-11-2005, 12:26:49 PM Check Engine Light. ;) Oh...mine says 'Service Engine Soon' (SES) never heard it referred to as CEL :peace: I got a SES (CEL) :D about 4 days later but it was unrelated, it was a fuel pump alarm that my friend re-set for me and hasn't occured since. I installed the aFe two weeks ago now. New improved audio clips on the way. GHOSTRIDER Fri, Mar-11-2005, 03:52:00 PM thanks for the DIY, installing mine tommorrow night. gnk2727 Fri, Mar-11-2005, 05:04:18 PM Great DIY thanks man. GHOSTRIDER Mon, Mar-14-2005, 02:55:03 AM OMG, the part where you connect the billet adapter to the intake duct is a BITACH. The friggin O-Ring is a PITA. LikeAnimal28 Tue, Mar-15-2005, 02:51:16 PM OMG, the part where you connect the billet adapter to the intake duct is a BITACH. They are replacing everything from the fuel tank forward up to and including fuel pump. All this because I got fault codes with my aFe and like a dumbass, I took it in. Now I have to drive a MAZDA 3 for two days!!!! I'm just glad I put the stock airbox back on before I took it in. Problem is, they are searching for something that isn't there. I feel like someone who goes to the doctor for a sudden weight loss problem but I neglect to tell him I'm on crack. Budman Wed, Mar-16-2005, 07:00:28 PM lol.. Hope they don't read the fourms.. I installed it on a Sunday. Drove it about 20 minutes to hear the difference. Monday I went to work, stalled once. Tuesday morning the light was on. Drove it the rest of the week. Following Tuesday, had the light re-set by friend. That same Friday (last week) the light came on again, also stalled while backing up. Tuesday night (2 weeks & 2 days later) swapped stock airbox back in and took it to BMW service. klangford Thu, Mar-17-2005, 07:36:02 PM According to my service writer, I will have my car back by noon TOMORROW  That'll be 3 days in the shop to replace among other things, two fuel sending units. They had 1 in stock, the other is being overnighted and tracking#'s confirm shipment and arrival by 10:30 a.m. tomorrow. He says I'm #1 priorty to get my car back so I can just show up at noon and it'll be ready. Thank goodness it is still under warranty. I can only imagine that had I left the aFe in this would have a different flavor. So what is my loaner for these 3 days? Oh, it's an M3 alright, but in this case M stands for MAZDA........I got a damn MAZDA 3 as a loaner (the dealer is a BMW/VW/MAZDA franchise) and all the BMW's were out. :banghead: It's humbling for sure. |
