I am looking for some nice aftermarket lights for my 88' M3. What do you guys have or what should I buy. I obviously want xenon.

Startec is a good company, And alot of guys who have bought them highly recomend them, They do smoked headlights, And rear tail lights too, But they ain't cheap.

There aren't any factory or OEM quality Xenon light options for the E30... I believe that there are a number of aftermarket companies that make kits for our cars. Umnitza is one of them I believe.

The kits usually include the ballasts and bulbs and some instructions for cutting and glueing the stock headlights to accomodate the Xenon bulb. You also have to graft the ballasts into the cars electrical system. Not sure of the level of effort, but you should be able to find some write ups on it quickly with a Google search for E30 and Xenon.

On the flip side many just buy the Euro "smiley" ellipsoids from Hella or Bosch and put PIAA SuperWhite bulbs in them. Works very well IMHO. Turner Motorsport has both as do many others.

I would get the Hella smiley kit. You can even get them smoked. Then just add the aftermarket 9006 HID kit after.
