My maintanance plan just expired and my 2002 M3 Conv needs an oilchange. Does anybody recommend a place in south FL that can do it without charging $150 like the dealer?

buy topsider oil extractor, buy oil from BMW, filters and do it yourself.. first time out you will pay for the topsider ( $50.00) .. oil is around $9.00 per qt ( 6) ... filter is around $20.00 . This is something you can do in 25 minutes and if carefull not a drop on you or the car.

Call ActiveAutowerke in Miami. They do BMW servicing also. Probably the best BMW shop in Florida. Don't know their rates though.

Just took my car there....paid $97 for an oil change after taxes. Not bad compared to the stealer prices

I just got mine changed for $75 using the BMW filter and Castrol Racing oil at Ernie Bello's in WPB. I"m sure there are other reputable mechanics down in Miami who can change the oil for $75 as well.
Ernie gets his oil for $5/qt and filter at cost as well and only charges $14 for labor.

$75 eh? damn...and i thought i was getting a decent deal. It's actually really easy to change the oil but the raw materials cost more than what you paid for the entire oil change. I think BMW charges $12/quart for the oil alone so i guess its not worth it gettin oily. Im moving up to boca next week so i think next time i'll bring it to your guy.
