Hey I just thought I would finally say hello. I was visiting a friend in San Antonio about a month ago. I drove down from Tyler with my wife in her 01 325I. The misses went to the outlets and I told my friend let's go to the BMW place. As we were driving up to the place he said what are you looking for and I said a Carbon Black Metallic with the cool headlights and the upgraded stereo. We pulled in and there it was and it was red tagged. They had 4 M3's on the lot. They shipped it to Tyler three days later. It even came with a bottle of wine. Anyway I just wanted to say hi. I have enjoyed the posts and the free info. I just put my 99 Saleen on Ebay. I will miss the sound of that V8.
Oh yeah, I bought an 2005 M3 Carbon Black Metallic with the "cool" headlights and the upgraded stereo. I would use the "correct" names but I am the lazy.

Well I just got my car back from the 1200. F this car is fun. I haven't gotten on it before today and it is fun. I slid out of the parking lot and the owner of the dealership just smiled. I have been slinging the car around all day. Very predictable handling. I gave a friend of mine a ride and he was just laughing his ass off. He owns a Cobra and he couldn't believe how smooth the car was. Also the guys at BMW in Tyler are great. I called on Tuesday and got an appointment Thursday with a loaner. I didn't even have to ask. They have been a center of excellence for years. As I was leaving I asked the SA how much my wife's next service was going to cost. Off the top of his head he said Julie's next service is the 60,000 and it cost $480. Now that is service. :thumbsup:
