While down here on a little vacation I decided to stop by AA and see their facility and I must say I was pretty impressed. They have a great shop there with some pretty knowledgable folks and MANY M3's getting the S/C install done, among other mods. There is a 2004 M3 Cab getting over 20K in work done including Brembo brake kit and virtually every other thing you could do to an M3.

Joe was the guy I met with, same guy that sold me the Exhaust for my car last week. He offered to let us go for a ride in the resident S/C M3 they have there so my wife and I jumped at the chance. WOW! It's a screamer! However, at 5.5 boost it's docile enough that you can't really notice the difference until you go into 3rd gear and beyond or really hammer the throttle. This is certainly an upgrade I am going to have to eventually consider.

Anyway, nice facilty and great staff. Worth a trip if you're down this way.

Thanks for the info!

By the way - do you like the sound of your new exhaust?

m considering the AA exhaust as my next mod.

Thanks!

I too have spent time down there with Rey and Karl...they are pretty good guys and know what they are doing when they offer pkgs to the general public.

I also have been seriously contemplating a supercharger for my car. Problem is the boss (wife) at home tells me I must wait :banghead: She tells me that I spend to much money on my car and that I am obsessed with my car. She weighs 105 pound, but is one tough girl...won't budge for now. Any ideas on how I could convence her to let me put a supercharger on my car :nixweiss:

tell her it will improve gas mileage(i doubt it does) but that will save you guys money in the long run..plus you will get to work earlier/faster and possibly make more money.. in the long run it will pay for itself

:D Best thing to do is do it and ask for forgiveness later.

Hahah, good one, or just do it and she might not know about it............

Maybe I could tell her that the car is not running right and the only way to fix it is to slap a supercharger on it :nixweiss: . I thought about secretly doing it but she is really smart and also does all our banking on-line and would notice the 8-10 thousand dollars missing and would also notice the car missing for quite some time.

Seperate checking accounts. My money is mine and hers is hers. I don't have to deal with any of that.

Haha, just about to say that, or open a separate account and start accumulating money..

Yes, I have thought about that. I think that I will open a separate M3 account on my own and have a portion of my pay go directly into that account. I do have the skills and knowledge to keep here in a drug induced coma for a few days while the supercharger gets installed. J/K....

Buy her something for roughly the same value, maybe a few K less but something she'd enjoy equally as much as your new S/C. Then you have an excuse

I had an M3 previously with the AA exhaust and loved it so I bought same one for this car. You won't be disappointed.

I did see a Grey M3 as well as a couple silver ones. Lots of cars having work done there.

I also want to replace the front strut brace with the one they make but they don't have one to fit M3 yet. Soon I hear.

That's what I always do. However, I usually tell her the parts cost 50-60% of what they really do. I hope she never reads this...

Can't wait to hear Dive's unbiased review of the S/C setup!
