View Full Version : Rear Bumper difference??

I've noticed that there are 2 different Rear Bumpers that people are sporting on their M3's.

For example, this one:

It has those indented Circles... not sure why they have it, cuz I think they're real ugly.

And here's my rear bumper:

It doesn't have any of those indented circles. All smooth.




What's the difference and why are there 2 different rear bumpers? :nixweiss:


I'm guessing it has to do with weight of some sort?

the circles have nothing to do with wieght. Those circles are for the Park Distance Control that is optional. It beebs when you back up towards a wall to let you know how much distance you have left. :shiftdriv

Thoes are the PDC sensors.

lol :rofl2: jun i use to think the PDC were ugly too. but it does serve a good function. it saved my ass more than once..

I personally like the PDC holes :nixweiss: adds some added definition to the bumper....function too... :thumbsup:

Same, I like the look myself... PDC won't pick up the curbs however... It's useful 90 % of the time though, esp since I'm low.

Yeah PDC is sweet if you park in crowded city areas.
